Affiliate Marketing has personally been one of my most successful ventures. For those who don’t already know, Affiliate Marketing is when you promote products or services for other companies that are going to pay you commissions per member or sale. I got lucky to enroll into the affiliate program of one multi-billion dollar online gaming giant; Party Poker. Since I have started I have made hundreds of thousands of dollars just by promoting their brands. Listen up and I can tell you how you can do the same!

There are literally thousands of websites these days that offer an affiliate program; if they have a product or service they are looking for people to actively promote it. There are different ways to promote these products or services… but the best way in my opinion is to make a review website. To do this all you have to do is follow these simple instructions:

1. Choosing your product/service.
The first thing that you have to do before you even decide to set up a website is obviously to choose which type of product you are going to be promoting and find an affiliate program that offers the best compensation for your promotional efforts. This can be one of the hardest decisions when you are first starting, but later on you are going to want to spread your horizons and make multiple websites to create multiple streams of income!

2. Research.
Once you have found the product and affiliate program that is right for you, you should gather data and do your research about the product. Knowing your product is vital because you are going to be writing reviews. I don’t know if I would completely trust a review if they didn’t even know basic things about the product or service!

3. Creating a website.
Set up your website. I was extremely lucky to have a good friend of mine who was an avidly talented graphic designer who was able to make websites for me at a very low cost… I have thanked him several times since then by taking him with me on trips and vacations. If you can’t make a website yourself, I don’t think now is the time to try to learn it! Sure, it is a great asset if you are working to make profits online, but if you just plain suck at it… you are much better off to pay a professional.

4. Content.
When it comes to marketing online I cannot stress enough that if you do not have much content then users will have no reason to come back to your website in the future. On the other hand, if you have content that is updated regularly (daily,weekly,etc.) then you will steadily gain visitors who will surely come back often. Remember that the more content your site has, the better.

5. Promoting.
Once you have reviews done for all these products you are going to want to pick one that you think will profit you the most. This would be your main selection and is usually the one that pays the highest commission. Giving this product a great rating and review will definitely be a good way for users to buy into the hype. You will also want to use the following.. it is a little trick that I learned when I got into affiliate marketing. Aside from promoting your main source of affiliate income, you are going to want to put up the products and services of competitors as well to show how they stack up, and by signing up to each and all of their affiliate programs if someone decides that they would rather go with one of those, thank god you put the link there! It is a win/win situation.

6. Traffic.
Bringing targeted traffic to your website is one of the main topics that you will always hear about when it comes to successful online businesses. I already wrote in detail various ways to get it. For the purpose of affiliate marketing I would suggest that you start with Link Exchange programs because they are free so you can test the waters. I also suggest submitting your review website to many search engines and even though it will take some time, as time goes on you will notice the increase in traffic on your website.

That sums it up for affiliate marketing programs. The trick is to find one that converts easily and compensates well for the referrals you send them!
